Quiz and Assessment Policy
Quizzes and programme assessments in the Academy are learning checks: they are not exams, they give no grades, and they lead to no certificate. Your results are stored only in your own browser and are never sent to us.
What quizzes are for
The quiz at the end of each lesson lets you see for yourself how well you understood it; the assessment at the end of each programme is a broader check covering every module. The purpose is not to measure or grade but to reinforce learning: even attempting to answer is one of the most effective ways to consolidate knowledge. A short explanation is shown after every question; the questions you get wrong are simply signposts to lessons worth revisiting, not a record of failure.
Where your results are stored
Your quiz and assessment results are stored only in your own browser. Your answers and scores are never sent to us or to any third party; there is no record of them on our servers. This design has natural consequences: your results will not appear on a different device or browser, and clearing your browser data deletes them. You can use every quiz without an account, a sign-up or an email address. For our overall approach to data, see the trust pages.
No exams, no certificates
There is no pass or fail in the Academy: you can retake any quiz as often as you like and return to any lesson in any order. The result shown at the end of an assessment is not a certificate, diploma or formal qualification, and cannot be used as one. A low score says only one thing: some topics may be worth another look. Results are stored in your device's browser and are not tied to an account, so they do not transfer to another device or browser.
