Where a product or service is named on the site, it is purely for illustration or information; we receive no fee, commission or other benefit from any party in return. For as long as this remains true, this declaration will stand unchanged.

If advertising ever arrives

To keep the site sustainable, advertising or similar revenue models may be considered in the future. If that happens, we commit to the following:

• Advertising and sponsored content will be labelled so they are unmistakably distinct from editorial content; there will be no covert advertising on this site.
• Advertisers will have no influence over editorial decisions: what we cover, and what we decline to cover, is decided by reader benefit.
• We will not accept advertising that makes health claims, conflicts with our nutrition and body-language principles, or relies on exaggerated promises.
• No revenue model will roll back our privacy commitments; we will avoid advertising systems built on tracking readers.

Transparency about conflicts of interest
